Newsworthy developments during the school year:

June2007

Professors Martin Morris, Julie Reyer, and Scott Post from the department of Mechanical Engineering participated in the 2007 BEST STEPS summer camp, in which over 130 high school students from the Peoria area are brought to Bradley to learn the principles of engineering in the week-long camp. The camp culminates with launching the rockets the students have built at a football field to try to make a field goal. More information is available at http://www.bradley.edu/cegt/eft/steps.html.

Bradley Formula SAE car places 29th out of 106 in FSAE Competition and 13th in Acceleration

Dr. Julie Reyer received the 2007 Award for Excellence in Service from the College of Engineering and Technology.

February 2007

Bradley University has been accepted into the Illinois Space Grant Consortium (ISGC) and will be eligible to receive funding from the ISGC starting with the 2007-2008 academic year. The ISGC is part of NASA's National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program and funds undergraduate student scholarships, graduate student fellowships, and research and outreach programs that relate to NASA's scientific and educational goals.
Dr. Scott Post of the Department of Mechanical Engineering is the ISGC point of contact at Bradley University, and he can be contacted for further information.
