Off-Campus Practicum through Bradley
for
Advanced Undergraduate Students in Chemistry, Civil Engineering,
Computer Sciences, Construction, Electrical Engineering, Electrical
Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing
Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Physics
Selection Criteria for Bradley/Caterpillar Practicum:
- Willingness to participate in technical challenging projects.
- GPA 3.0/4.0 or greater preferred.
- Availability in 3-4 hour increments between 8:00am to 4:00pm week days for
a total of 10-20 hours per week.
- A self-starter capable of independent work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to "hit the ground running" and contribute immediately.
- Ability to quickly adapt to and function in a business environment.
- Ability to demonstrate good "hands on skills".
- Availability of reliable transportation.
- Presentations skill must be good using Power Point or equivalent
- For on-site work at Caterpillar student must have authorization to work
full-time in USA excluding practical training.
Most projects have been in the areas of advanced materials technology and
electrical engineering/electronics, but other areas may be available in the
future.
