Yates Scholarship
Freshman History Scholarship
GAMMA BETA CHAPTER of PHI ALPHA THETA
(the International History Honor Society) annually awards the Louis A. R. Yates Freshman History Scholarship to an outstanding high school senior who enrolls as a history major at Bradley University. The award consists of a cash payment plus the oportunity to serve as an undergraduate assistant in the History Department.
AWARD
The student selected for the award receives
- check for $1,200.00
- the opportunity to serve history faculty members as an undergraduate assistant in the department
A MERIT AWARD
The Yates Scholarship is based on MERIT only.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES

DEADLINE
By June 1, prior to the school year in which applicants plan to enroll in college, applications for the scholarship and for admission to Bradley University must be completed. Applicants are notified in July.
