Bradley’s Department of Art offers an undergraduate curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History.
Studio life in the Department of Art at Bradley University is filled with creative activity, discussion, and critique. Moreover, our students come from locations throughout North America and overseas; creating a rich blend of cultural backgrounds, creative ideas, and forms of expression. The Heuser Art Center studios have state-of-the-art equipment for printmaking, photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, and ceramics while the Caterpillar Global Communications Center studios are home to the graphic design and multimedia programs. Students enjoy access to our studios twenty four hours a day seven days a week.
Students in the program receive the opportunity to attend Visual Voices, Bradley’s annual professional lecture series. The series hosts a variety of speakers who are professional artists, designers, art historians, and art critics with national and international reputations. The speakers also participate in studio critiques and art history classes giving you the opportunity to discuss ideas more fully.
Bradley Art majors enjoy many cocurricular and cooperative learning experiences, including:

- NAEA - National Art Education Association
- Pottery Club
- Art History Club
- Broadside (Departments of Art and English collaborative literary publication)
Art students take full advantage of the close proximity to museums, galleries, and professional offices in Peoria, Chicago and St. Louis. The faculty sponsor field trips and activities to introduce students to the cultural and human resources available in the local area and large urban centers near Peoria.
Bradley Art students and graduates enjoy a placement rate of 94%. Students participate in various internships to acquire professional experience at organizations including:

- The Studio Museum in Harlem
- Creative Logic
- Lakeview Museum
Bradley alumni have held or currently hold significant positions nationally at:
