A $2.5 million grant from the Olin Foundation of New York City was used to construct and equip the original science building dedicated in 1968.
A new renovation and addition were completed in the fall of 2002.
The addition provides 59,000 square feet of new classroom, laboratory,
and office space.
With Physical therapy occupying the new level, and a greenhouse
that sits atop the addition, giving Olin Hall over 135,000 square

laboratories
and classrooms, flexible research space, new conference and student
resource areas, state-of-the-art research and communications technology,
and offices to accommodate 42 faculty in physics, biology, chemistry,
and physical therapy. At a cost of over $20 million, the renovation
