Westlake Hall

Westlake Hall

In 1946, the clock-towered Horology Building was named Westlake Hall in honor of Dean Allen T. Westlake, first head of the Horology Department. Horology is the science of measuring time. The Parson's Horological Institute was moved from LaPorte, Ind., to Peoria in the early 1890s and became part of Bradley in 1897. Westlake remained as dean until his death in 1931.
