Matt Lacy begins his first year at Bradley University as the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation and Athletic Facilities. His duties include overseeing the daily operations at the Renaissance Coliseum, in addition to the management of the Coliseum student staff, and planning special events. He also oversees operations at the David Markin Tennis Courts.
Matt joins the Bradley family after serving as the Coordinator of Informal Recreation at the University of Alabama. At UA, he managed the 200,000 square foot Student Recreation Center, the adjacent 29 acre outdoor athletic field complex, and outdoor tennis complex.
Prior to his time at the University of Alabama, Matt received a Masters of Education degree in Sport Management from Bowling Green State University, in Bowling Green, OH. During his time at BGSU, he was the Graduate Assistant for Student Recreation Center Facilities and Informal Recreation, where he managed SRC facility staff and Pro Shop operations. Matt also served as the Graduate Assistant for Perry Field House Facilities and Marketing, during his time at BGSU.
Matt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Administration from Ball State University. During his time at Ball State, he worked as a Building Supervisor and Program Supervisor with the Office of Recreation Services. Matt has also completed internships with Ball State Sports Facilities, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
When Matt is not working, he enjoys participating in intramurals, experimenting with new foods in the kitchen, and spending time with friends and family.
