- week 1: Introduction
- week 2: Meet for portfolio audits: Bring in all work that is appropriate for portfolio:
Work on dummy of portfolio. Indicate sizes, placement of images, and text. Experiment with different and interesting materials.
- week 3: Turn in proposal for your portfolio:
include layout diagram, desciption of materials, and list of projects you plan to include.
Bring in Selected Project to Rework
- week 4: Bring in selected project to rework:
Draft of statement of design philosophy due. Must include at least one quote about design by a designer, critic or other recognized source.
- week 5: Bring in Design Project to rework
- week 6 Format for Resume due.
- week 7 Complete portfolio: It should contain three projects clearly and
fully represented both in image and with explanations.
- week 8: Portfolio presentation practice. (midterm)

- week 9: Select a company or product from an approved list and design its
annual report. It must include: Front Cover, Back cover, and five internal spreads, including:message from CEO; mission statement; products or services; companys performance, and a financial statement. Select one of its products for a redesign. work on product identity
- week 10 Work on product identity: Due: presentation of new product identity
- week 11 Due: mock-up of report layout - using greeking and cut-out images
- week 12 Work on Annual Report project. Due: Product spread with text explaining
the new product look or market placement
