"President's Page" Recently, I have accepted the position of President of the Chi Sigma Iota Beta Phi Chapter. Already we have begun to plan for the new year that lies ahead. On July 17 1h , Dr. Nancy Sherman hosted a cookout at her home for all Beta Phi members. We socialized and talked about the various committees that would be available for members to get involved in throughout the year.     In order to continue the goals of the chapter, the following committees have been formed: Community Service, Professional Development, Fundraising, Beta Phi Membership, and Initiation Planning. Our newest committees to be formed are the Beta Phi Membership Committee and the Initiation Planning Committee. The Beta Phi Membership Committee will strive to keep members involved and obtain current member information and the Initiation Planning Committee will be involved in the preparations for the ceremony in the spring. Each committee could benefit from more participation from our members, so if you are interested in joining a committee, please contact Dr. Sherman at 6773197. As current president, I look forward to being involved in different committees and having the opportunity to meet current graduate students as well as being able to network with professionals working in the community. Our next event will be the garage sale at Dr. Nancy Sherman's home as a fundraiser for the organization followed by the LCPC workshop for those preparing to take the licensing exam.
