Poetry and Prose | Art | Submission Forms
Broadside will not publish more than 3 pieces of work by any one student. Please do not submit more than 5 poems and/or 3 prose pieces. Each submission should have a separate Poetry/Prose Submission Form.
Pieces should not exceed 3,500 words. Prose should be double-spaced and can be in the form of fiction, plays, screenplays, and creative non-fiction. Accepted writers will be notified by email.

If you are unable to upload a file to our online submission form, or if you prefer to submit a paper version of your work, please read and follow the directions below. (Note: If you submit online, you do NOT need to submit again in person.)
All poetry/prose submissions submitted in person must be typed paper copy. Be sure to include its title.
If your piece is more than 1 page long, include page # of total pages on each page.
Submit your work by placing it in the drop box at the Broadside office: Sisson 329. Contact any officer with questions at broadsidelitmag@yahoo.com.
All work must be accompanied by a Writing Submission Form. This form allows us to have complete information about each submission and contributor and to evaluate all work anonymously. Each submission should have a separate Writing Submission From.

You are encouraged to fill out your submission forms online, where you may also submit digital versions of your artwork. However, if you submit online, you must ALSO turn in a printed copy of your artwork (or the original) to the Broadside office (Sisson 329) for judging purposes.
Artists may submit work in the following ways:
- the original, if it is able to be scanned (original will be returned)
- a CD with saved work AND a print-out of the image for judging purposes
- a zip disk of less than 100 mb AND a print-out of the image for judging purposes
- a print-quality file submitted online AND a print-out of the image for judging purposes
Please include your name on any disk you submit, but not on its accompanying print version.
