Recruitment and Relations Committee:
Movie Committee:
- Meet at the Brickhouse at 2pm on Saturday for more TNG goodness, starting with "Where No One Has Gone Before."

ORC:
- Lyz discovered she can talk to people, including Ron Gibson and other higher-ups in food services. Maximum dimensions were given for a table. Also,
it is decided that matching/stacking chairs would be ideal, with stacking chairs being more important than matching ones.
- Other items may be obtained at Target or K-Mart, but not Wal-Mart.
No Report Committee:
- Quiz bowl won at ISU and received a giant glass bought at Wal-Mart.
- Kenny was the MVP.
- Wal-Mart sucks.
- No report.
Officers' Reports:
Communications Officer:
- The minutes were up yesterday. *much applause*
- Errors have been corrected.
Constable:
- Landon notes that big words are fun and so is 100% on a quiz.
- Everything's under control.
- "I have the bapper."
Chief of Operations:
- The site is currently down. The network connection was lost on February 1st.
- Options are being looked at for a new place to move it, however we have obtained temporary space. (Yay!)
- The book database and Enterprise site will be up in a few days.
- Motion is made to write Dave Galanter a thank you letter.
- Motion is seconded and passed.
- The Communications Officer will write the letter.
- Orders from before the outage are shipping.
- $159.16 has been made this quarter, which is $22.96 more than last week.
Grand Nagus:
- The current balance is $421.47.
First Officer:
- It has been a successful week for Kenny.
- Japan is over-achieving, ish.
- There is visual confirmation of the ugliness of the band uniforms.
- Last Thursday in AV much time was spent trying to get a CD to work.
Captain:
- We have mail. "Letters" is sung.
- Mail:
- I nice pink piece of propaganda from volunteer vibe arrived.

- The Peoria Area Anti-Hunger Coalition is looking for help with their Can-A-Thon.
- Otherworld's Sci-Fi Alien Alerts. (contains ads for various sci-fi novels)
- Various oohs, ahhs, and awws are voiced.
- The Captain has not been at home. She is busy. This is sad.
Old Business:
- Election reform is once again tabled.
- Motion is made to form an election reform tabling committee.
- Motion is made to table said motion.
- Landon volunteers to lead the election reform committee. Laura, Joel and Carl will also be on said committee. Chris Kaergard will be consulted; and
thus the ERC is formed.
New Business:
Other Organization's Announcements:
- B-Con will take place from 10-10 on March 1st and 2nd. On the 1st, Psi Phi will be in meeting room 6. On the
2nd, we will be in the executive suite.
- A schedule for B-Con will be available next week.
- There will be an anime marathon Saturday assuming someone can run it.
- It is noted that people are playing the Pump It Up machine.
Sci-fi News:
- As most people have heard, the space shuttle Columbia was tragically destroyed earlier in week. The Enterprise episode that aired today was preceded
by a tribute.
- AOL will have an exclusive 15 minute mini episode of "Smallville."
- Both Andromeda and Mutant X have been renewed.
- The cover for Prophecy and Change has been uploaded.
- Genesis Wave Book 3, by John Vornholt, is available in paperback.
- Gemini, by Mike W. Barr, is available.
- Star Trek: Aliens and Artifacts has been donated to the Psi Phi library courtesy of David.
- The cover for Homecoming, by Christine Golden, the first Voyager novel taking place after "Endgame"has been released -- it may change.
- David has a copy of the manuscript for the first (of two) books. The first book will be available in June and the second in July.
- An experiment using quantum containment took place. Researchers were able to instantaneously communicate over a distance of over two kilometers.
- This is very cool.
- "The Animatrix" DVD will be available in either May or June. Four of the episodes will first be released at
http://www.theanimatrix.com/, one each month until its release.
- An Onion article appeared whose author stated that the "Lord Of The Rings" movies are making him leave "Star Wars" as his first love.
- "Cube -- Special Edition" will be available in April.
- Joel suggests buying 3 copies to become "cubed." He is subsequently shot.
- The Captain wastes everybody's time playing with her PDA.
- Lyz's fantasy novel which she has spent seven years writing was completed over the winter break. A consistency edit was finished last week. A text
edit is in progress.
- She will gladly autograph copies of it once it is published and donate one to the Psi Phi library. This is all very cool.
- Lyz attended a writing seminar at GenCon in 2000 and used her GenCon pass to open a locked door. Monty Cook will remember this J.
- Elizabeth's roommate sucks.
- A course in hand drumming is offered here that is taught by a guy in NC via Internet2. Everyone is mic'd and has a camera on them. This is cool.
- Don is a closet stoner.
