The Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is a nationally recognized standard unit of measurement for participation in a not-for-credit continuing education activity (e.g. workshop, seminar, conference). Some regulators refer to these activities as CPEs (continuing professional education units). How are CEUs calculated? One Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is generally considered to be equivalent to ten contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction. A CEU can be awarded in whole units or fractions of a unit (one-tenth unit). What type of CEUs are offered through Bradley University Continuing Education?
Every regulated profession has criteria for acquiring and maintaining a license. Due to the volume of the regulations, we are not able to assist you with questions about what your profession may require. How do I contract with Continuing Education to record my program’s CEUs and report them to a regulatory agency? Your organization must provide evidence to Continuing Education that the proposed program qualifies for CEUs. Once qualified, a program will be assessed a $15 per participant fee, subject to change. Continuing Education will register participants’ CEUs and maintain those records for seven years. How do I arrange for Continuing Education to register and maintain the CEUs for my program?
