ILR - Institute for Learning in Retirement

Spring, 2008

The Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR), founded in 1994, is an inspiring learning community for mature learners. Providing opportunities to share knowledge and skills with others, the ILR offers a novel setting to interact with contemporaries and meet friends, old and new.  Over 500 mature learners, from all walks of life, attend the ILR from the tri-county area each year.  They view retirement as an opportunity to explore new ideas, investigate issues of interest, form new friendships, and enjoy educational travel programs.  Bradley University Continuing Education, in affiliation with the Elderhostel Institute Network, sponsors the ILR.
