Driving Directions

Visitors may enter Peoria by car via several routes, including Interstate 74, Interstate 474, Illinois 24, Illinois 29, IL 40, IL 150, and IL 116. Directions for each option are listed below.

Entering Peoria via Interstate 74 from the East
(East Peoria , Morton, Bloomington-Normal)
Take I-74 west to exit 91, University Avenue. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto University Avenue. Continue south on University to the stop light at St. James and University. Turn right on St. James to enter the campus of Bradley University. Elmwood Residence Hall is on the northeast corner of St. James and Elmwood.

Entering Peoria via Interstate 74 from the West
(Brimfield, Galesburg, the Quad Cities)
Take I-74 East to exit 91, University Ave. At the top of the ramp, turn right onto University. Take University to the stop light at St. James. Turn right on St. James to enter the campus of Bradley University. Elmwood Residence Hall is on the northeast corner of St. James and Elmwood.

Entering Peoria via Interstate 474 from the East or West
Take I-474 to the IL 24/Adams Street exit. Take IL 24 north into Peoria. IL 24 becomes Washington St. Continue on Washington to McArthur Highway. Turn left onto McArthur Highway, and follow it to the stop light at St. James. Turn left on St. James to enter the campus of Bradley University. Elmwood Residence Hall is on the northeast corner of St. James and Elmwood.

Entering Peoria via IL 24 from the South
(Bartonville, Canton, Beardstown)
Take IL 24 north into Peoria. IL 24 becomes Washington St. Continue on Washington to McArthur Highway. Turn left onto McArthur Highway, and follow it to the stop light at St. James. Turn left on St. James to enter the campus of Bradley University. Elmwood Residence Hall is on the northeast corner of St. James and Elmwood.

Entering Peoria via IL 24 or IL 29 from the North
(Chillicothe, Henry, I-80)
Take IL 29 west/IL 24 west into Peoria. These roads become NE Adams St. Stay to the right when the road splits into a one-way street and becomes Jefferson St . Take Jefferson to Main Street. At Main Street, turn right, and continue to University Ave. Turn left onto University, and travel to the stop light at St. James. Turn right onto St. James to enter the campus of Bradley University. Elmwood Residence Hall is on the northeast corner of St. James and Elmwood.

Entering Peoria from IL 40 from the North
(Edelstein, Rock Falls, Sterling)
Take IL 40 south into Peoria where it becomes Knoxville Ave. Take Knoxville to Interstate 74. Take I-74 west to Exit 91, University Avenue. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto University Avenue. Continue south on University to the stop light at St. James and University. Turn right on St. James to enter the campus of Bradley University. Elmwood Residence Hall is on the northeast corner of St. James and Elmwood.

Entering Peoria from IL 150 from the West
(Kickapoo, Brimfield, Galesburg )
Take IL 150 east into Peoria where it becomes War Memorial Drive. Take War Memorial Drive to Interstate 74 east. Take I-74 east to exit 91, University Avenue. At the top of the ramp, turn right onto University. Continue south on University until you reach the stop light at St. James. Turn right onto St. James to enter the campus of Bradley University. Elmwood Residence Hall is on the southeast corner of St. James and Elmwood.

Entering Peoria from IL 150 from the East
(East Peoria, Morton, Bloomington-Normal)
Take IL 150 west to I-74 west. Take I-74 west to exit 91, University Avenue. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto University Avenue. Continue south on University to the stop light at St. James and University. Turn right on St. James to enter the campus of Bradley University. Elmwood Residence Hall is on the northeast corner of St. James and Elmwood.

Entering Peoria from IL 116 from the West
(Hanna City, Trivoli, Farmington)
Take IL 116 east into Peoria where it will become Harmon Ave. Take Harmon Ave. to Martin Luther King drive, a street that angles to the left. Continue on Martin Luther King drive until you reach Western Ave. Turn left onto Western, and take it to Bradley Ave. Turn right onto Bradley Ave. and follow it until you reach the stop sign at Duryea Place. Turn left onto Duryea Place, and follow it to the stop sign at St. James. Turn left on St. James. Elmwood Residence Hall is on the northeast corner of St. James and Elmwood.

Entering Peoria from IL 116 from the East
(Germantown Hills, Metamora, Roanoke)
Take IL 116 west to IL 150 west. IL 150 west becomes War Memorial Drive. Continue west on War Memorial to University. Turn left on University, and continue until you reach the stop light at St. James. Turn right onto St. James to enter the campus of Bradley University. Elmwood Residence Hall is on the southeast corner of St. James and Elmwood.

Entering Peoria from IL 24 from the East
(Washington, Eureka, I-39)
Take IL 24 west across the McClugage bridge over the Illinois River. Once across the river, IL 24 becomes IL 150, War Memorial Drive. Continue west on War Memorial until you reach University. Turn left on University, and continue until you reach the stop light at St. James. Turn right onto St. James to enter the campus of Bradley University. Elmwood Residence Hall is on the northeast corner of St. James and Elmwood.

Entering Peoria from IL-91 from the North
(Dunlap, Princeville, Toulon)
Take IL 91 south until you reach IL 150 east, War Memorial Drive. Take War Memorial Drive to Interstate 74 east. Take I-74 east to exit 91, University Avenue. At the top of the ramp, turn right onto University. Continue south on University until you reach the stop light at St. James. Turn right onto St. James to enter the campus of Bradley University. Elmwood Residence Hall is on the northeast corner of St. James and Elmwood.
