"Bradley was my 'second chance' and I
appreciate the opportunity Bradley gave me to complete my
education," Jim Yerbic '67 said about his Bradley experience.
Jim has expressed his appreciation by establishing an endowed
scholarship at Bradley: The James and Linda Yerbic Endowed
Scholarship.
Jim Yerbic graduated from Bradley with a B.S.
in Accounting in 1967 and currently is a business consultant,
investor and a corporate director. Jim was the chief financial
officer at Duchossois Industries, Inc., Eagle Industries,
McGraw-Edison Company; and, was group president at Jepson
Corporation. Jim started his career, as many Bradley alumni
do, with Arthur Andersen & Company. Jim serves as a
member of the Board of Trustees at Elmhurst College.
Jim has spent his entire career understanding
the importance of investing in the future. And, he has done
this at Bradley by establishing an endowed scholarship.
He has chosen to fund this scholarship over a five-year
period during which his gifts to Bradley are set aside and
are earning interest for his scholarship fund. When fully
funded, the scholarship will be awarded to a Bradley student
from Canton, IL. Jim experienced first hand the effect a
scholarship can have on a young person's life. "Scholarships
and loans truly made a difference in my life and I hope
I can give each annual recipient an educational opportunity
that will make as much of a difference in his or her life
as it made in mine."
To endow a scholarship at Bradley your gift
of $20,000 may be paid over a five-year period. For more
