Yes, I am the "perky" one! I'm always excited to help new students learn about themselves, their abilities and their options for a major. The AEP 100 course is a great way for me to get to know each and every one of you and advise you in your decision process. You will find me cheering on the Braves at the games or attending one of the many amazing theater productions here on campus. My husband and I love to ski with our sons and scuba dive (which is hard to do in Peoria!) So while we enjoy traveling to new locations it's always great to get back to the Hilltop!

As the Director of Orientation & Advisement, I have been worked at Bradley for the last 8 ½ years. I am from Buffalo, NY-home of the original chicken wing (not Buffalo Wing!) lake-effect snow blizzards and the 4-time American Football Conference Champion Buffalo Bills! If you are a new student or family member, I look forward to seeing you at one of our 13 summer orientation sessions. I am also in charge of the University Program which the Academic Exploration Program falls under. GO BRAVES! GO BILLS!

I have been involved in the Academic Exploration Program as an instructor and advisor since 1999. I am an alumnus of Bradley University and enjoy going to the BU basketball games with my two children. I am a die-hard Cubs fan and hope this year will be the year! In addition to sporting events, I also enjoys going to the theatre and have been to numerous shows in Peoria, Chicago, and St. Louis. I absolutely loved Wicked and while I do enjoy the occasional Billy Joel song I was ready to move out of the theatre after seeing "Movin' Out!"

Since 1994 I've been exploring majors with AEP students, watching them choose areas of study and future work from Accounting to Zoology. Possibilities abound! I enjoy the challenges of helping students learn about themselves and the opportunities at Bradley. When I am not working you will find me listening to a variety of music--rock and roll, big band hits, Sousa marches, Demented songs, Hank Williams or bluegrass, but I draw the line at Celine Dion. I like college basketball, Mythbusters, newspapers, sandwiches, road trips, Diet Mountain Dew and the Cincinnati Reds. When I have time I enjoy exploring my family history, and spending time with my wife and three daughters!

I advise unclassified engineering students as well as the UNV EGT majors. I am fortunate to have what I consider one of the best jobs on campus where I meet new students that I help and then see them go on to excellent careers. It is exciting and fun to see the changes. If our paths are not meant to cross, think of me when you see those CityLink buses driving up and down University and Main streets and throughout Peoria. I am board treasurer for CityLink and have been on the Board for 9 years. Need a riders guide? Come and see me!

I began my career in higher education and with Bradley University 20 years ago after working for 15 years in institutional settings and a comprehensive community mental health agency. The opportunity presented by Bradley not only offered me the chance to continue to provide young adults with counseling services but to also engage in career assessment and guidance with students who are exploring the academic options that are compatible with their interests, personality and abilities. With the yearly freshman student summer orientation schedule come the anticipation and challenges associated with the chance to help an exploratory student begin their academic journey at Bradley, and the opportunity to identify which career path to follow.
Though I am not from Chicago, I love Chicago dogs, and though I am not from Buffalo, I love Buffalo wings, and though I am not from New Orleans, I love its jazz. However, I am from Peoria and I love its sense of community, the warmth of its people and the pride it takes in reaching out to others.
