The Center for Academic Transition Programs and Assessment Services administers, compiles and analyzes information related to the interests and goal satisfaction of Bradley University students. In addition to Bradley's own New Student Perception Survey and Senior Goals Survey described below, the Center also administers the Cooperative Institutional Research Program's Freshman Survey, ACT Student Opinion Survey, National Survey of Student Engagement and others. Reports, that include narrative and graphs, are written by the Center and then distributed to the President and Provost's Council by the Associate Provost of Student Affairs.
This survey, administered annually to first-semester freshman by the Division of Student Affairs, was designed to identify the degree of influence various factors had on the group's decision to attend Bradley. The students evaluate the influence of individual and institutional considerations upon their college selection. Additional questions gauge student impressions of their initial activities at Bradley, if the University was their first choice, and why the students chose Bradley.
Throughout their years in college, students assimilate impressions which they sustain beyond Commencement about the institution they attend. The Senior Goals Survey, distributed annually by the Division of Student Affairs to seniors, measures the views of seniors relative to Bradley's contribution to their development as individuals. The seniors indicate the role of the University in their achievement of various personal and educational goals. They also note how important specific institutional factors were to them, and then they suggest ideas for program improvement.
