Image in show: "So Death Is On the Way"

My photography touches on people, places, and objects that might be
part of a different reality. Shooting photographs of these subjects is an
enriching experience for me. Photography is my emotional response to the world and its visual gifts even though many of them are not obvious. With my camera in hand, anything is possible, and I always welcome the unexpected as it
arises. Greatest satisfaction, or my "photographer's high" is when I can
communicate my feelings in the form of a meaningful photographic print.

Like my camera, the computer has become another tool for me. I am able
to further the image-making process by drawing upon my original photographic
images. I do not think that the computer is an instrument by which artists can
create instant art, but rather as another medium waiting to pushed to its
limits.
The image "So Death is on the Way" deals with life and its uncertainty
of the future. The carnation image is repeated several times as it comes in
and out of the background. It signifies our transience in life and how we meet
others on the journey.
