I love Impressionism! Images break into colors and motion. For years, I have used cameras and darkroom techniques to achieve impressionistic images with traditional imaging. Three years ago I added the computer to my repertoire - it has dramatically changed both my art and my attitude toward traditional photography.

The Impressionist painters took advantage of the new technologies of the late 1800's -- new brushes, new pigments -- and discovered new ways to interpret what they saw. I see us, 100 years later, at the same point, working with electronic color to produce new visions of the world around us. I use digital technology to explore new forms of expression, helping to recreate the visualized moment. The key moment still remains a personal expressive observation, a conversation with the environment. For me, our everyday life is actually illuminated with extraordinary images.
