I am interested in self-discovery through the creative process - whether that process involves the camera, a computer, or the simple mark-making of a pencil on a blank piece of paper. I wish to utilize these devices in the most direct manner possible, allowing me to communicate significant aspects of who I am as an individual. This includes expressing the intense and nostalgic sadness that I sometimes feel in connection to the passing of time, life, and love.
I believe the photographic image has direct ties to the physical world, and thus can be utilized as a powerful symbol, producing vital questions - and answer - regarding our place in this three-dimensional reality.
