QuickTime VR is a format which allows a "virtual reality" view of a movie, whereby the viewer can traverse the scene within the movie. By using the cursor, it is possible to pan left, right, up, and down at any rate. The keyboard allows zooming in and out. The software simulates the experience of visually exploring a scene in reality. QuickTime VR movies require a special viewer application, available free for various computer platforms.
