The source images for "Proposal" include both flatbed scans and video grabs originally taken for 2D animations. The scanner has introduced me to a world incredible resolution. I think by now, I have scanned everything of any "object" interest to me. Those things I've found to be too large to move, like 26" televisions, have had it (the scanner) moved to them, where I would scan in several sections.
Once all source images were obtained, I imported them into Photoshop 3.0, where I cut, copied and pasted my way into the two-dimensional realm of this WEB site. Perhaps the most meticulously constructed section worth mentioning within this image is the hand on the left which holds the slide. I had found great interest in the discrepancies of resolution between video and flatbed scanning, this is the place where these two textures truly interact. (It is not known at present whether or not this will be visible in the two meg WEB version, but please feel free to use your imagination.).
