This image came together from unrelated photographs of the baby's face and a pair of clasped arms. Both were manipulated and folded in Photoshop to obtain the form in the image. The 'hat' and 'electrodes' are derived from direct scans of an old projector bulb (colourized) . The background texture is derived from a close up photo of a granite structure high in the mountains of Nepal where I spent several weeks trekking about a year ago (* sigh *). The frame finally is a construction from some metal tubes - again scanned directly and colorized. Adjustments in contrast, saturation, etc. were combined with lighting and shadowing effects to 'blend' the whole.
