These images were taken initially with an old Pentax Spotmatic camera, a tripod, and Velvia 50 color slide film. I sent the slides to Kodak and had them put on photo CD. I took the digital images and opened them on a Power Macintosh with Photoshop, adjusted them, and output them on a 3M Rainbow proofer. On "Grand Canyon" I mainly did global color, brightness, and contrast adjustments. I also worked on the cyan channel to eliminate much of the haze that was present in the distant areas of the canyon. On "Fog Tree" I merely kicked up the saturation a bit. I tried to play more with it but it quickly lost the intimate feeling I liked.
