This digital montage is created around the words of William Blake...

...my specter around me night and day like a wild beast guards my way. my emanation far within weeps incessantly for my sin...

The image is a collection of my photography which together works to expresses a transcendentalism of the mind and body.

Digital imaging has opened doors for my creativity. It has allowed me to express myself in ways I never thought possible. Images I thought could exist only in my head, are now transformed into reality via the computer. My photography is now part of the pr ocess of my imaging, not just the ultimate expression of what is in my mind's eye.

Being a relatively new form of art, digital imaging is taking heavy criticism among the art world. However, I find that using the computer is akin to a painter using his brush - the computer is a mere extension of an artist's creativity and it is the arti st himself controlling the elements and the outcome. I am happy that the Peoria Art Guild and Bradley University are working to forward this progressive line of expression.
