"Hands Be Tools"

My photography touches on people, places, and objects that might be part of a different reality. Shooting photographs of these subjects is an enriching experience for me. Photography is my emotional response to the world and its visual gifts even though many of them are not obvious. With my camera in hand, anything is possible, and I always welcome the unexpected as it arises. Greatest satisfaction, or my 'photographer's high,' is when I can communicate my feelings in the form of a meaningful photographic print.

Like my camera, the computer has become another tool for me. I am able to further the image-making process by drawing upon my original photographic images. I do not think that the computer is an instrument by which artists can create instant art, but rather as another medium waiting to pushed to its limits. The computer has become the new radical tool in the arts. We can allow our audience to view artworks in ways that were never available before in a traditional gallery setting. The computer has allowed the art to become interactive. I hope to create more pieces on the computer which involve the viewer more than he or she standing in a gallery. I would like people to "come into" my art and experience the part of me that is there.
