Admissions
The Time Frame.
The 15-month program, which is presented every other Friday and Saturday, begins with a week-long Leadership Challenge course and includes a 10-day international trip. The trip (excluding airfare), as well as all books, meals, lodging, and parking, is included in the tuition.
The Class Composition.
The class size of 20-30 students assures diversity yet allows for close coaching and mentoring from the program faculty members. The EMBA class stays intact for the duration of the program and permanent study groups are formed in order to foster teamwork, networking, and mutual support.
The Typical Attendee.
Participants should have an undergraduate degree; a minimum of five to seven years of managerial experience; and sponsorship from their employer. Attendees come from diverse business backgrounds and attend for many different reasons. Industries represented include health care professionals, business managers or owners, physicians, attorneys, educators, and entrepreneurs.
To Apply.
Download an application today! Our next class begins August 2010. Instructions on how to apply can be found inside the application. When reviewing applications, the following is considered:
- Managerial experience is required of all candidates; five to seven years of managerial experience is preferred.
- Entrance requirements also include a personal interview, professional recommendations, and a demonstrated ability to accomplish graduate-level business coursework.
- Evaluation of students for admission is a very individualized process. A prospective student’s background, work experience, career goals, and a desire to succeed are considered in making an admission decision.
- The admissions committee follows a “rolling admission” process, whereby each applicant is considered separately and measured against acceptance criteria. Applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria: managerial experience, undergraduate/graduate performance, letters of recommendation, essay and evidence of readiness for entrance into the program.
