Student Groups
Accounting faculty sponsor two students organizations. The Bradley Accounting Club (BAC) is open to all accounting students, including Freshman. Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) represents an honorary organization.

BETA ALPHA PSI is an honorary organization for accounting, finance and information systems' students. The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. This includes promoting the study and practice of accounting, finance and information systems; providing opportunities for self-development, service and association among members and practicing professionals, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility.
Beta Alpha Psi was founded in 1919. In 2006, there were 263 chapters on college and university campuses with over 300,000 members initiated since Beta Alpha Psi's formation. .
Bradley University's Beta Alpha Psi chapter (Zeta Lambda) was chartered in 1981. Since its organization, the chapter has received numerous awards from the Beta Alpha Psi national office, e.g. "Superior Chapter"; "Distinguished Chapter"; and "Most Improved Chapter in the Nation".
Membership in Beta Alpha Psi includes those persons of good moral character who have achieved scholastic and/or professional excellence in the fields of accounting, finance, or information systems, who have been initiated by an existing chapter and who remain in good standing.
Minimum scholastic requirements for undergraduate membership are at least a 3.0 overall and upper level accounting GPA. Graduate student initiates must have been accepted and matriculated into the Bradley 3:2 program or Master of Science program.
Activities of the Zeta Lambda Chapter include frequent meetings with accounting professionals in order to learn more about the profession. The Chapter also participates in regional and national Beta Alpha Psi activities. Students who gave presentations at the 2007 Midwest Regional Meeting received a second place award for the "Best Practices" presentation. Students will also be giving a presentation at the Beta Alpha Psi annual meeting during the Fall of 2007. The Zeta Lamba Chapter plans to co-host the 2009 Midwest Regional meeting.
Members of the Zeta Lambda Chapter also participate in community service activities. Recently, the group tutored students taking principles of accounting courses, provided accounting services at a Relay for Life event, and collected money to help defray medical costs incurred by a fellow student.

We had a close-up look at how these are made.
