An economics major has a great variety of future career options. At the same time, the major also provides a means of studying certain problems bedeviling society: Not surprisingly, more than one recent President of the United States has himself majored in Economics. The Nobel Prize Winners in Economics often advise the United States Government and various other foreign powers on economics policy. Nobel Prize Winners Milton Friedman, James Tobin, and James Buchanan have visited Bradley University.

Economics graduates from Bradley have pursued a variety of interesting careers, some after graduate study:  professors the at University of Kansas and University of Minnesota, consultant with Andersen, research analyst with Caterpillar Inc., district sales manager for Ford Motor Co.,  systems analyst with Abbott Laboratories, research analyst at Federal Reserve System in Washington D.C., materials manager at Chrysler Corp., and Bond Department officer at American National Bank.
