Teaching Interests

Dr. Highfill specializes in International Economics, International Trade, and International Monetary Economics. She also teaches Principles of Macroeconomics and an occasional honors course, such as "Economics on the Comics Page," "Game Theory," or a special course in Economics in Literature

Research Interests

Dr. Highfill has a variety of research interests, including municipal recycling, international competitiveness and related issues, and the economics of uncertainty.

Other Information

Dr. Highfill is active in professional societies such as the Missouri Valley Economics Association. She often takes classes for her own enrichment in such areas as English Literature and Art History
