Actuarial Science
Bradley's actuarial science programs prepare students for entry into diverse professional enterprises, including consulting firms, government risk pooling entities such as the Social Security Administration, insurance companies, public utilities, and select regulatory agencies.
An actuarial science major in the Foster College of Business Administration must complete the following required courses:

MTH 223 Calculus III
MTH 207 Elementary Linear Algebra with Applications
MTH 325 Probability and Statistics I
MTH 326 Probability and Statistics II
MTH 335-I Topics in Actuarial Science – Theory of Interest
MTH 335-II Topics in Actuarial Science – Life Contingencies
MTH 427 Applied Statistical Methods
IME 313 Operations Research I
Plus three additional 3-credit-hour courses from the following:
ECO 301 Money and Banking
FIN 325 Investment Analysis
FIN 327 Derivatives
FIN 328 Financial Institutions and Markets
FIN 425 Portfolio Theory & Management
All actuarial science majors must also complete the Foster College's core business requirements, with 3 substitutions:
Instead of QM 262 Quantitative Analysis I and QM 263 Quantitative Analysis II, actuarial science majors will take MTH 325 and MTH 326, both listed above.
Instead of BMA 353 (Operations Management), actuarial science majors will take IME 313, also listed above.
All actuarial science majors must complete at least one professional actuarial exam administered by the Society of Actuaries.
All students in the Foster College of Business Administration must also satisfy the University's general education requirements.
