Dr. Edward Bond joined the Bradley University Marketing faculty in fall of 1997. He received the Foster College / Midwest Grain Products Teaching Award in 2001, the National Council of Advisors Scholarship Award in 2005, and, in 2007, he was the first recipient of Foster College of Business Administration Leadership Award.

 

CURRENT TEACHING INTERESTS

Ed teaches in the Executive MBA, MBA, and undergraduate programs on the topics of marketing strategy and business-to-business marketing.

 

CURRENT RESEARCH INTERESTS

Ed’s research addresses cross-functional relationships in marketing strategy development; marketing’s contribution to strategy formulation by top-management teams; and drivers of innovation performance in established corporations.

His work has been published in the Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing, Journal of Marketing Management, Journal of Strategic Marketing, and other scholarly publications.

Ed is currently conducting a five-year study documenting the formation of the National Composites Network and its impact on the aerospace, wind energy, construction, medical products, boat-building, and auto sport industries in the United Kingdom.

 

EXPERIENCE

Dr. Bond served as a minister for ten years before joining the ranks of academe. His work allowed him to gain extensive experience with not-for-profit organizations including sitting on several not-for-profit boards and executive committees. Further, he has broad experience in teaching public speaking and communication. Ed is a frequent contributor to executive development programs for both U.S. and international managers on topics including business and marketing strategy, competitive advantage, and effective cross-functional working relationships.

In 2004, Dr. Bond served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Cambridge. His work was hosted by the Institute for Manufacturing (Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge) and TWI (a research and technology organization with global membership).
