Dr. Johlke teaches undergraduate courses in Professional Selling, Advanced Professional Selling, and Experiential Learning in Professional Sales.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Johlke's primary research interest is in selling and sales management issues, particularly sales manager-salesperson communication, salesperson selling skills, as well as organizational and sales force culture and environment. His research has been published in a variety of journals (e.g., Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, Journal of Management, Journal of Managerial Issues, Journal of Managerial Psychology, Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management, Journal of Service Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and the Journal of Business Ethics) and national conference proceedings (e.g, National Conference in Sales Management, Academy of Marketing Science, Academy of Management).
OTHER INFORMATION
Dr. Johlke sits on the Executive Board of the National Conference in Sales Management where he has served as Chair of the NCSC Doctoral Student Sales Research Program and as Proceedings Editor. He also serves on the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management, Journal of Selling and Major Account Management, and the International Journal of Business and Finance. In addition, Dr. Johlke acts as Coach for the BU sales students who compete at the National Collegiate Sales Competition every April.
