CHOOSING MARKETING
Bradley's Department of Marketing offers a flexible professional program that allows the pursuit of a specialized curriculum designed to prepare the student for entry into a specific marketing career path.
In a recent survey of alumni, 88% agreed with the statement that "my decision to attend Bradley University was a good one." Additionally, 81% agreed that if they had to do it again they would attend Bradley.
Bradley's Marketing majors gain real-world experience in the classroom, giving them a competitive edge when seeking employment. Working in teams, marketing students serve as consultants to real business clients. Students conduct marketing research studies, design advertising plans, design business and marketing plans, or sell real products. Every marketing student is guaranteed at least two of these types of experiences before graduation.
Marketing faculty are respected scholars in their fields. All have published original research in leading marketing journals and have thereby contributed to the body of knowledge that they teach. Students have the opportunity to join faculty in research and our students have, in recent years, seen the fruits of their own labor published.
Bradley's marketing student experience culminates with the required "marketing capstone course." This course instills a sense of comprehensive understanding and a working knowledge of managerial decision making for students in the marketing discipline. It also integrates a wide range of topics and concepts covered throughout earlier courses in the student's curriculum. At the end of this course, students will demonstrate proficiency with applied marketing research skills, analytical skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills, and creative skills.
