Inauguration parade march

ALEX NAVROTSKI ’09 and BETH HOOVER ’09 marched with the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps in President Obama’s inaugural paradeALEX NAVROTSKI ’09 and BETH HOOVER ’09 marched with the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps in President Obama’s inaugural parade. Out of an applicant pool of more than 1,900 organizations, the 120-member brass and percussion group, based in Dubuque, Iowa, was one of 90 groups selected. The two seniors, who met at freshman orientation, marched in the 19th group along the parade route.

Navrotski played the trumpet in the parade, while Hoover marched in the color guard. A public relations major, Navrotski played in Bradley’s jazz band his freshman year. Hoover, an accounting major, has played the oboe in Bradley’s wind ensemble.

The Colts Drum and Bugle Corps, an international Division I championship drum corps, travels by bus and performs and competes from coast to coast during the summer.
