Fitzgerald to speak at commencement on Dec. 20

Patrick J. Fitzgerald, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois since 2001, will deliver the keynote address at Bradley’s commencement ceremony on December 20. He will be awarded the honorary Doctor of Humane Letters during the ceremony at the Peoria Civic Center. Approximately 250 bachelor’s and 100 master’s degrees will be awarded.

Fitzgerald’s office accused Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich of “a political corruption crime spree” after he was arrested on Dec. 9. In 2003, Fitzgerald was named Special Counsel in an investigation that led to the indictment and conviction of Lewis “Scooter” Libby.
