Directions to Campus
Visit the campus map for directions to campus, view buildings, and download a printer friendly map to get to you hall on move-in day. Go>
Items to bring
- Pillow, bed linens, blankets
- Sheets should be standard twin, unless in U-Hall, then you need extra long twin
- Alarm clock
- Room decorations, pictures of family and friends
- 3M poster adhesives (please don't use duct tape)
- Clothes hangers
- Bathrobe, shower shoes
- Small bucket for carrying toiletries
- Towels, washcloth, soap, shampoo
- Laundry basket/bag, detergent
- Coffee mug, drinking cups, dishes and cutlery for snacks
- Plastic containers
- Umbrella, rainwear
- Headphones
- A power strip (recommend w/surge protector)
- Winter clothing (unless you can get it later or have it sent)
- Flashlight
Optional (some are one per room) items
- Telephone, answering machine
- Refrigerator (4.2 cubic feet capacity or less)
- Microwave oven (700 Watt or less)
- Air Conditioner (6000 BTU or less - Heitz only)
- Carpet (8 x 10 square or smaller- cannot be taped or glued to floor)
- TV, Stereo, DVD Player, Game console
- Personal sports/recreation equipment
- Desk chair
- Computer
Items not to bring
- Pets (all pets except for fish)
- Weapons (all kinds including knives, paint ball guns, BB guns, pellet guns, air soft guns, super soakers, decorative weapons)
- Appliances with exposed coils, hot plates, grills, toasters
- George Foremen-type grills
- Halogen lamps
- Outside antennas
- Candles with burnt wicks (you may use an unused candle with a candle warmer)
Extra long mattresses
University Hall and Williams Hall will have extra-long twin mattresses provided throughout the entire building. Harper Hall and Wyckoff Hall will have one extra long mattress and one standard mattress in each room. Geisert, Heitz, and Singles will all have standard mattresses.
The extra long mattresses are 3" longer than standard size. To request an extra-long mattress in any other building, make a request under "Additional Housing Information." Go>
