Greg Monaco, Ph.D, is a research psychologist and director for research for the Great Plains Network, a consortium of universities in seven states. In addition to studying research collaboration, Monaco has built several active collaborations in grid computing, middleware, bioinformatics, human language technology and hydrology across the Great Plains. From 2001 to 2003, Monaco was a program director for the National Science Foundation in the Division of Advanced Networking Infrastructure and Research, where he managed the High Performance Network Connections and Strategic Technologies for the Internet programs. Monaco has managed commercialization of intellectual property developed in the university setting and served as chief architect for a software development firm in Topeka, Kansas.
