Caren Litvanyi is a senior network systems engineer with the Global
Research NOC at Indiana University where she works on the design,
development, and operation of the Abilene backbone, Indiana GigaPoP,
MANLAN exchange point, and NLR layer 2/3 networks. She has been a
member of the routing team for the IEEE/ACM Supercomputing Conference
since 2001, and previously held network engineering positions with
Argonne National Lab, NASA, the University of Colorado, and Qwest
Communications. She has been involved in multicast deployments for
almost 10 years, is a frequent instructor for the Internet2 multicast
workshops, and has co-authored a paper on multicast troubleshooting
methodologies. She holds a BS in Mathematics from the University of
Alaska and a MS in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado.
