The Graduate School Commencement Ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 14 in the Markin Family Student Recreation Center. Alumnus Gary R. Roberts ’70, dean of the Indiana University School of Law, will deliver the keynote address.
Roberts is the on-air legal analyst for the NFL Network. In that capacity, he appeared in many media outlets regarding the NFL strike, including “The New York Times,” “USA Today” and “The Washington Post,” and he has appeared on ABC’s “World News Tonight” and “Nightline,” “CBS Evening News,” ESPN's “Sports Center” and other prominent television broadcasts.
The Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 17 in the Renaissance Coliseum. The president and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Thomas J. Donohue, will deliver the keynote address and receive the honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree during the ceremony.
Since assuming his position in 1997, Donohue has built the Chamber into a lobbying and political powerhouse with expanded influence across the globe. He has aggressively advanced a competitiveness agenda that includes doubling U.S. exports in five years, strengthening capital markets, forging a national energy strategy, reforming health care and education and protecting intellectual property rights.
