From Bradley’s traditional lighting of the “B” and the bonfire to a pep rally, class reunions and the student/faculty/staff flag football competition on the Alumni Quad, Homecoming 2013 offered myriad activities for all on the Hilltop.
Hundreds of students poured into the Coliseum’s practice facility for Late Night BU festivities related to the Homecoming theme, “We are Bradley.”
The Red & White Scrimmage showcased the women’s and men’s basketball teams engaged in lively competition at the Renaissance Coliseum. Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Chet “The Jet” Walker ’62 signed autographs before the scrimmage and was introduced prior to game play as one of only seven players whose jersey has been retired in the history of Bradley basketball.
Homecoming weekend ended on a high note with the Bradley Braves soccer team’s spirited 2-0 victory over Loyola, Chicago and a fireworks display at Shea Stadium for enthusiastic fans.
Each year during Homecoming, Bradley University celebrates Founder’s Day by honoring Lydia Moss Bradley and distinguished alumni, faculty, and staff who embody her vision and continue to enhance her legacy.
