Policy Purpose

The purpose of the Firewall security policy is to state that certain regulations require and industry best practices recommend Bradley University to limit network traffic with a firewall. Network traffic is limited into and out of a security zone in which proprietary data resides.

Policy Description

Bradley University will continue to comply with these regulations and follow industry best practices by utilizing firewalls to segment the University network into security zones.

Policy Scope

This policy pertains to the Bradley University network.

Policy Definitions

Zone – A logical area of the network whose ingress and egress traffic is sent through a firewall.
