Do I need to wait for the notification message to check my Quarantine? - No, you can login to the barracuda filter anytime, from wherever you are.

Should I be using WebMail or Exchange ? - Students use Webmail. Most faculty and staff members use Exchange. POBox is part of the Exchange system, not Webmail. Faculty using Hilltop for their email system will use Webmail.

What is BUNetID? Webmail and Hilltop accounts already use BUNetID for email access. Drop by the Technology HelpDesk X2964 in the Cullom-Davis Library to reset.

How can I delete the messages in my Quarantine? -Check the message you wish to delete, then click the delete button. You can also delete messages one page at a time. Check the box in the Header to select all messages, then click Delete.

I thought I could recover deleted messages up to seven days? - Microsoft Outlook allows users to recover messages up to seven days, but Barracuda analyzes messages as they arrive on campus, before they reach your Microsoft Exchange Inbox

How long do spam messages stay in Quarantine ? - Messages will begin to disappear as the main Barracuda filter begins to reach maximum capacity. Check your quarantine often to minimize loss of good email.

Can I Whitelist of Blacklist an entire domain? - Yes. By usingwildcard symbols, you can allow or block entire domains from your inbox. For example, if you no longer wish to receive email from AOL users, entering *@aol.com in your blacklist will do it. Note: Blacklisting entire domains can have a serious impact on your ability to receive legitimate email.
