REQUIREMENTS FOR MAJOR IN ADMINISTRATION

OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE AT BRADLEY UNIVERSITY

I. All University and College Requirements - (33 hours) Courses fulfilling these requirements must be approved Basic Skills and General Education courses.

II. B.S. Degree Requirements - (6 hours)

Requires 6 additional hours of science beyond those courses used to meet the basic skills and general education requirements. The list of these approved courses is broader than general education science courses - see Undergraduate catalog.

OR

B.A. Degree Requirements - (N hours)

requires 2 years of foreign language or equivalent - (Hours vary, see Undergraduate catalog)

III. Lower Division Course Requirements - (21 hours)

IV. Research Requirement (3 hrs)

V. Upper Division Course Requirements - (21 hours)

VI. Internship Requirement - (3hrs)

VII. Strongly Recommended Electives - *(not required)

* Recommended electives also include any of the alternative courses noted above which were not taken as a requirement.

General Education Requirements - 33 hrs

ACJ Major Requirements - 48 hrs

Total Hours for Major and Gen. Eds. - 81 hrs

PLEASE NOTE: Students changing their major to ACJ must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.01 overall, and also a minimum GPA of 2.01 in previous courses taken in the major.

ALSO NOTE: To Graduate, ACJ Majors must have a cumulativeGPA exceeding 2.0 for all courses numbered 200 or above in the ACJ program requirements.
