Chemical Hygiene Plan

This Chemical Hygiene Plan has been formulated to comply with OSHA 29 CFR 191.1450, Occupational Exposures to Hazardous Chemicals in laboratories; Final Rule. It is a written program designed to provide a safe environment for employees in the chemistry department who work with hazardous chemicals in the instructional and research laboratories. The plan addresses the following: (1) basic safety rules and procedures, (2) chemical procurement, distribution, and storage, (3) environmental monitoring, (4) housekeeping, maintenance and inspections, (5) medical program, (6) personal protective apparel and equipment, (7) records, (8) signs and labels, (9) spills and accidents, (10) training and information, (11) waste disposal. The Bradley University Chemical Hygiene Officer is Ron Doerzaph.
