Creative Writing Program Alumni News

Ben Debus, ‘04 graduate, is completing his Indiana University MFA in Poetry Writing, having spent the summer in England and Europe.  He is also teaching classes at Indiana.

James O’Connor, ‘05 graduate, will soon complete the University of Illinois at Chicago’s graduate English and Creative Writing program.

Lindsey Ronfeldt, ’05, is finishing her second year of study at University of North Carolina Wilmington and is editing the literary journal Ecotone.  She is also teaching classes at UNCW.

Jeff Thomson – English and Creative Writing alumni, was granted the 2005 NEA Poetry Fellowship and published his second poetry collection The Country of Lost Sons recently.

Michael Pauly, '99, is working at Yahoo.com, in Pasadena, California. He is also working on several screenplays, and getting married shortly.

Chris White, ‘97, works as an associate producer in Hollywood.

Ryan Self, ‘05, works for a videogame company in Los Angeles. He is also regularly auditions for acting jobs on television.

Stephanie Mader, '06, Ballowe Prize winner and Broadside editor, is working for Medcor in McHenry, IL, as their proposal writer and flies around the country.

Sara Strandquist, '06, is working for Caterpillar.

Aaron Berjohn, ‘06, is training as an actor at the Strasbourg Institute in Hollywood.

Chris Douglas, ‘05, is teaching English in Japan.\

Della Mosley, ‘05, Scout columnist and creative writer, is working for All State Insurance.

Heather von Doehren, ’01, has joined with other Bradley graduates to edit and publish Relief:  A Quarterly Christian Expression.  The journal’s first issue appeared in fall 2006.  Other Bradley grads involved include Benjamin Culbertson, ’97 and Kimberly Culbertson,’01.  Check out the journal’s website at www.reliefjournal.com.\
