Dr. Kurt Mayer is Professor at the "Institut für Anglistik und Amerikanistik" in Vienna and has been to the States many times mostly doing research work. He will take you on a journey from Chicago down to New Orleans on the world's third largest river THE MIGHTY MISSISSIPPI. The Mississippi is a symbol of America's colorful past and spirit of adventure. The mighty river also means progress and prosperity and there has been a tremendous development in industry and high technology in recent decades.
