PAIN FREE PERFORMANCE APPRAISALS

FOCUS

This program equips you with the tools and the mindset you need to make performance appraisal interviews a meaningful communication experience ... instead of the grueling encounter that most employees and supervisors dread.

By introducing your direct reports to the concepts of Job Clusters and Performance Standards, you can reduce subjectivity and use the appraisal process to enhance and maintain performance in the organization.

During the workshop, you will also develop strategies for:

  • proactively "listening" during the appraisal process

  • managing the experience without getting derailed (i.e., "what do you do if...")

  • dealing with employees who have performance problems

PROCESS

You will acquire performance evaluation skills and processes by actually doing a thorough analysis of your own job/position.  You will go through the steps of listing, cluster building, identifying skills and knowledge, and creating performance expectations.  This exercise will give you the framework you need to develop an appraisal form and process that will fit your own unique leadership and communication style.

This 14-16 hour program is usually divided into 4 half-day sessions.

Workshop Fee:
$5,400 (up to 6 participants; $700/additional participants)
