Advancement - Associate Vice President

Bradley University, is seeking applications and nominations for the Associate Vice President for Advancement. 

Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, the Associate Vice President is charged with assisting in running the Advancement Division.  This position will play the lead role in the development of and implementation of the Advancement Strategic Plan. It will have direct reports in our Central Development Operation, including Annual Giving, Gift Services, Prospect Research, Donor Relations, and Planned Giving. The successful candidate will assist in the efforts of our Advancement Communication Plan and work with the Vice President of Advancement on developing and monitoring the key metrics for the division. Additionally, the position maintains a portfolio of major gift prospects to cultivate and solicit, interacts with the University President, and supports the Vice President for Advancement in his principal gift activities.  During times of absences and travel for the Vice President, the Associate Vice President will oversee the operations of the division.

The qualified candidate will hold a bachelor's degree.  The position requires at least 12 years professional experience, 6 or more years of fundraising experience, with preference given to experience in higher education.  In addition, the candidate must be innovative and be able to clearly demonstrate a high-level of success and accomplishments; experience building successful, productive relationships with top university administrators, deans, and trustees; be a results-oriented leader; experience interpreting and analyzing data, using insights to change operations and achieve desired outcomes.  Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, as well as analytical, research and management skills and ability to work with a culturally diverse constituency are a must.
