Illinois Manufacturing Extension Center - Manager, Human Resources and Talent Development

The Illinois Manufacturing Extension Center (IMEC), located on the Bradley University campus is seeking candidates for the position of Manager – Human Resources and Talent Development (MHRTD).

This position implements practices to positively affect IMEC's culture, working with staff to understand performance expectations, address employment-related issues, and to maximize employee performance and job satisfaction.  The MHRTD coordinates new employee recruitment and orientation and develops annual training plans for IMEC and individual staff.  The MHRTD develops and executes a consistent approach for conducting employee evaluations, gathering input on staff performance from a variety of sources.  The  MHRTD also assists the Management Team and field leadership in resolving employee related conflicts,  mitigating routine complaints, and ensuring that all information relative to human resources issues are communicated effectively throughout the organization.

A Bachelor’s degree is required with a Master’s degree preferred.  As part of the organizational leadership team, the Manager – Human Resources and Talent Development (MHRTD) should have 3 – 7 years of experience as a generalist in human resources management, while possessing experience in business processes, organizational development or project management.  Candidates must possess excellent analytical, organizational,  leadership and communication skills; demonstrate ability to work within a team environment; demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality; ability to motivate staff to achieve performance objectives and capability for staff development and performance management.  Manufacturing, government, and university experience preferred.  Candidates must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.  Work at field office locations and some overnight travel is required.  Candidates must be capable of accessing facilities which are not ADA accessible.
